It was like a dream. Walking down the aisle to the love of my life. I've never felt that way before. Wayne's eyes never left me. We were so calm, so joyous, so in love. God's presence was very real as we worshipped with family and friends. We gathered to celebrate our commitment to love and serve each other all of our days. It was beautiful.
I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many, O LORD my God,
Many, O LORD my God,
are the wonders you have done.
The things you planned for us
no one can recount to you;
were I to speak and tell of them,
they would be too many to declare. (Psalm 40:1-3a,5)
The LORD is my light and my salvation—
The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
One thing I ask of the LORD,
One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock. (Psalm 27:1, 4-5)
Praise the LORD, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.
Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,
Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.
Praise the LORD, all his works
Praise the LORD, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.
Praise the LORD, O my soul. (Psalm 103:20-22)
