Water Taxi

Mum and Dad were our water taxi to and from our resort island. We stopped to picnic both ways in idyllic summer weather.

Zane Grey Resort

Camping at Otehei Bay on Urupukapuka Island was just like being back on our honeymoon x

Fresh Fish and Scallops

What a feast we had for dinner... and all freshly caught and gutted by our lads!

Picnic on Roberton Island

What a stunning day to picnic on Roberton Island in the Bay of Islands!

Unwinding at Mangawhai

Driving north after Christmas we stopped to stay at Patrick's place in Mangawhai. It was just what we needed to start unwinding after a busy end to the year... We were released to chill as we pleased, reading, swimming, sleeping, eating.

Humpback Whales

We came across two humpback whales in the Hauraki Gulf an hour from Auckland City during our Christmas staff party!!! It was only the third time that humpback whales had been cited in our harbour since the 1960s! Wow, it was breathtaking to see their flukes rise in the air and to see them breach out of the water!

In the last few hours Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches.

Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song, while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived.

Samurai Bank is soldiering on following sharp cutbacks, Ninja Bank is reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black.

Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal.
